Hexarelin
Hexarelin (Examorelin)
The most potent GHRP — produces the highest GH release of any peptide in its class, with notable cardiovascular research independent of its GH effects.
Hexarelin is not approved by the FDA for human use. It is sold strictly for research purposes only and is not intended for human consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition. Purchase and use is entirely at your own risk.

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide and the most potent GHRP identified. It produces substantially higher GH release than other members of its class, including GHRP-2 and Ipamorelin, but this comes with significant cortisol and prolactin elevation and rapid desensitization of the pituitary with chronic use.
Unusually, Hexarelin has demonstrated cardioprotective effects in research that appear to be independent of its GH-releasing properties — working through direct cardiac GHS receptors — which has generated separate research interest.
What research shows
- Highest GH-releasing potency among studied GHRPs in human trials
- Significant cortisol and prolactin elevation — more than other GHRPs
- Rapid pituitary desensitization with continuous use (typically requiring cycling)
- Cardioprotective effects in animal models independent of GH — reduces cardiac fibrosis and improves contractility
- Potential IGF-1 elevation with short-term use before desensitization sets in
What remains unknown
- Optimal cycling protocol to maintain GH sensitivity
- Whether cardiac benefits in animal models translate to humans
- Long-term safety with intermittent use
Administration basics
Common use cases
GH optimization (typically cycled), cardiovascular research context, short-term GH pulse protocols.
Half-life
~2 hours.
Administration
Subcutaneous injection. Typically cycled to prevent desensitization.

Doses used in research
- Research studies have used 100–200mcg per injection
- Community protocols commonly report similar doses 1–2x daily
Administration routes studied
Typical protocol duration
Shorter cycles are recommended due to rapid desensitization — typically 4–6 weeks followed by a break.
Common stacking protocols
- Hexarelin + CJC-1295 — used when maximum short-term GH release is the goal
- Hexarelin is often used solo in short burst protocols given its potency
Contraindications & combinations to avoid
- Active cancer or cancer history — most potent GH release in the GHRP class
- Cortisol-sensitive conditions — Hexarelin causes the highest cortisol elevation of the GHRP class
- Prolactin-sensitive conditions
- Should not be combined with other GHRPs
- Extended use not recommended due to rapid desensitization
Dosing information reflects doses used in published research and commonly reported community protocols only. This is not a personal recommendation. These compounds are not FDA-approved for human use in the contexts described. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any protocol.
